OAKLAND ROTARY is proud of the contribution the Saroni-Lena Scholarship program has made to hundreds of Oakland high school students in achieving their college dreams. These students have demonstrated that, with help, they can achieve the highest honors in academic achievement. They will go on to distinction in their chosen careers.

The program generously funded by the Saroni family on a continuing basis, by a bequest from Nat Lena, and by the continuing annual financial support of Oakland Rotarians is making a difference for Oakland high school students. Yet, every year there are more qualified Oakland high school student applicants for college scholarship help than there are funds available.

This outstanding program wants to increase its financial capacity to meet the need. To do this, OAKLAND ROTARY needs your help. At present the Saroni-Lena program awards an average of 15 $5,000 undergraduate scholarships per year, but as you might expect, there are many more than 15 deserving well-qualified Oakland high school seniors who need financial assistance. To assist those students, we need to raise significant funds each year. Your financial assistance would therefore be valued both by OAKLAND ROTARY and the students. Your contributions to the Oakland Rotary Endowment (which is qualified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3)organization) are tax deductible as allowed by law.

• A pledge paid annually to support one or more scholarships in your name.
• A bequest in a variety of forms to the Oakland Rotary Endowment Fund designated for the Saroni-Lena Scholarship Fund.
• Annual contributions of any amount directed to the Program.
